About Me

Unami is the founder and director of Hope Lives Psychology & Coaching. This is a psychology and coaching business that was birthed from a desire  to be part of the healing journey of others.

Unami is on a mission to give hope, to encourage and to inspire people by helping them find a healthy place for their pain, align their gifts with purpose and remain connected to their true sense of self.

Psychological therapy is one of the vehicles through which Unami felt she could fulfil her desire to give people from all walks of life hope to live their lives to their fullest potential.

If you are wondering if she will understand you, Unami knows about fear, anxiety, discouragement, helplessness, hopelessness, rejection, grief and loss. From her life experiences Unami understands the challenges around managing various conflicts in family relationships, weight management issues, financial difficulties, and dealing with physical health challenges.

Unami brings all of who she is to how she works with her clients, something that brings a richness to her work and the experience for those who meet with her. Unami was born in Botswana in Southern Africa and she is a wife and a mother to four children. Unami enjoys writing, poetry, singing and being a homemaker.

Among her other big interests is the area of navigating Adhd as an adult. Unami has a good appreciation of neurodivergence being a late ADHD diagnosis herself. Take the time to engage with her and see the mental shifts that can happen for you. Whether you are after therapy or coaching, she is there to listen and walk the journey with you.
